Lucinda Secrest McDowell is a storyteller and seasoned mentor who engages both heart and mind while “Helping You Choose a Life of Serenity & Strength.” A graduate of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and Furman University, McDowell is the award-winning author of 16 books including Soul Strong, Life-Giving Choices, and The Courage to Write. Her new gift book of blessings releases in 2023 from Christian Art Gifts. Whether building leadership teams, pouring into young mamas, or leading a restorative day of prayer, she is energized by investing in people of all ages. In addition to serving as a “Speak Up LearnOn” Coach, she also offers hourly sessions on writing, speaking, and spiritual growth through “Encouraging Words Consulting.” Lucinda, a member of the Redbud Writers Guild and AWSA, co-directs the annual reNEW – spiritual retreat for writers & speakers and blogs.
